Terms of Service

The rules for using Ferb, sharing folders and keeping information about children safe.

Last updated: 5 November 2026

Agreement to these terms

These terms govern your use of Ferb. By creating an account, joining a shared folder, or using the service, you agree to them. If you are using Ferb for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf.

Your account

You must give accurate details when you sign up and keep them up to date, and you are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Accounts are personal. Do not share a login, and tell us immediately if you believe someone else has access to your account.

You must be 18 or over to hold an account.

Folders and shared content

You keep ownership of the documents and information you upload. You must have the right to upload it and to share it with the people you invite.

Folder owners decide who is invited. Invited recipients receive view-only access to the folder they were invited to and its contents, and access can be revoked by the owner at any time.

If you are invited to a folder, use its contents only for the purpose it was shared. Do not re-share, publish or forward documents or links without the owner’s permission.

Acceptable use

Do not use Ferb to break the law, to infringe someone else’s rights, to upload malicious software, to attempt to access folders you were not invited to, or to harass or harm another person.

Because folders may contain information about children, you must handle that information carefully, share it only with people who need it, and follow your organisation’s safeguarding and data protection policies.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to act to protect a child or another person.

Plans and payment

Some features require a paid plan. Prices are shown before you subscribe, and paid plans may start with a free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and payment is taken.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

If you cancel, you can export or delete your content during the paid period. We may keep your content for a short period after a plan ends so it can be restored if you resubscribe.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Ferb available, but we may occasionally need to interrupt the service for maintenance or security fixes.

We may add, change or remove features. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will give reasonable notice.

Our liability

Ferb is a collaboration tool; it does not provide legal, medical, educational or therapeutic advice, and it does not replace professional judgement or statutory processes.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data that you have not backed up elsewhere. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Ending your use

You can close your account at any time from your profile. If you own folders, closing your account removes your access, so invite another owner or export your documents first.

We may end or suspend access if these terms are breached, if we are required to by law, or if an account is used in a way that puts others at risk.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence says otherwise.
